I think my greatest feat was the Multigenre Multimedia Research Project where me and my bro, Patrick, took our personal interest in the French New Wave to an entirely different level. All we knew is that we wanted to make a movie and it would be the highlight of our juncture. But when the initial idea to make a movie focusing on terrorism was denied, we resorted to making one about this date I had with this girl Nikki Pezzo in the sixth grade. A date that was ultimately deemed futile by her overbearing father. This would be called "Steve Would've Thought This Was Funny", starring my older brother, Kyle, who proved to be one of the creepiest guys I've ever met. Then we had our close friend, Andrea Frampton, myself, and Patrick in supporting roles. Before that, we recorded this rap that would only be recognized by Mr. Masson because obviously no one shared our deep appreciation for free styling about mad jump cuts even if it was backed up by a loop described as being "Jesus Christ meets Sly and the Family Stone in a desert made of smores". I also made a cartoon called "Jean and Francois Make A Gang" with my little brothers, which had absolutely nothing to do with the French New Wave but the main characters were practically the foundation of the movement. In addition, its some of the most unparalleled stoner comedy on the face of the earth. In the process we used Windows Movie Maker, Microsoft Paint, and Audacity. Lastly, I wrote an essay about the 400 Blows and Patrick wrote a poem, a sort of explanatory preface to the "Steve" movie, and an essay on the essence of the French New Wave. All of those were just dead weight. Something to fill space but the movie, cartoon, and rap are what made this project my favorite. Why? Their the things I enjoy doing out of school. Things that transcend the institution and cannot be touched by the education system. Sure, they'll probably never be seen outside of the Wikispace but it beats the hell out of conventional academics. I don't wanna be a scientist! So at the time, I was feeling high and mighty.
